Within recent years, the economy has dramatically decreased
productivity – implementing American citizens and their ability to obtain job
opportunities. As a teenager in search of any job opportunities, from fast food
services to clothing stores, I understand the difficulty everyday men and women
face trying to provide for their families. Everything in the world revolves
around money, education is based on money – high amounts of money paid to
colleges and academic services result in an overall better learning experience
and a deeper understanding of knowledge. Housing is based on money – the larger
sums of money spent on housing differ the size and ultimately the luxury of
one’s living conditions. In today’s America, the more money a person has will
influence their social status among the community. Money has a hold over
everybody whether they realize it or not; that’s why finding a job and keeping
that job in the now every changing economy is essential to happiness and a
fulfilling life. However according to Brookings- An Economist Studies,
Economist say rates for February projected an increase in unemployment by 7.8%.
Numerous times before Americans have been fed information,
believing that the hard times will suffice and America will again prosper; yet is
it wrong to think this another tactic by the government to give Americans hope?
As a teenage with a 3.6 GPA and eagerly involved throughout the community, why
is even getting a job at a McDonalds such a difficult task? It leaves me to
wonder and hope that eventually the economy will resolve its issues and return
to normalcy because I desperately need a job.
I agree with your concern for unemployment in the future, it's been so up and down these last few years that it is hard to tell however by the look of it, it has been leveling out at a rate of about 7.7% or so.
