McDonald’s All Day Breakfast
On Tuesday, October 6, 2015, McDonald’s began to serve the highly anticipated all day breakfast. In order to turn around their plummeting sales, they were forced to make changes that would increase consumer demand for McDonald’s products.  The only thing that the corporation knew would increase sales is the want for all day breakfast - one of the biggest demands McDonald’s has ever had, receiving tens of thousands of requests on social media platforms. After testing the all day breakfast in several franchises across the nation, they decided to launch this past week with hopes to increase sales.
CEO Steve Easterbrook announced a 15% profit decline in 2014, leading to the realization that his corporation needs to do something in order to reverse that. Its two biggest challenges were, and still are, improving food quality and enhancing its brand image. McDonald’s is known for its extremely unhealthy fast food, but its demographics are people who are on the go and need something quick to eat; quick and cheap are the two biggest factors for people who lead chaotic, fast-paced lives.
Although the all day breakfast is a long awaited occurrence for many people, there is a catch. Depending on the location, each McDonald’s franchise will only serve either a selection of muffins or biscuit sandwiches - not both. Since each restaurant will have to serve their regular menu all day, they have to make a trade-off and only serve a select few items from the breakfast menu in order to limit the number of products that are available to the consumers to benefit the company. If the menu became too large the workers would struggle, and the company would have to pay for more resources in order to produce these food items. Although McDonald’s would prefer to serve both muffins and biscuits, they are forced to choose only one. In Wisconsin, the local McDonald’s only serves McMuffins throughout the entire day, so their opportunity cost is the biscuits that they cannot serve.
Although consumers across the nation have been begging McDonald’s to serve breakfast all day, they were robbed of being able to choose from a wide selection of items. The only reason that the corporation decided to serve all day breakfast was to increase their sales due to a recent profit decline, but they ended up letting down the consumers when they decided to only sell a small array of products. Even though customers may have been let down, McDonald’s sales have still increased by 2.5% in the past week since the all day breakfast was launched, resulting in an overall success for the McDonald’s enterprise.

  1. Nice topic! Personally, I really like McDonalds breakfast and am not really a fan of their lunch and dinner foods. Their breakfast doesn't give me the 30 minute later crash from sugar and bad nutrients. I was disappointed when I went to get a Egg White Delight at 1:30pm and they don't serve those all day. Even though I was disappointed, I would still prefer to eat their Egg McMuffin than a Big Mac any day. McDonalds all day breakfast, I believe, was a great business move but it would have been nice to provide the whole menu

  2. Everyone is talking about how Mcdonalds serves breakfast and it is a popular thing now. I think that this was a good topic to talk about since everyone loves Mcdonalds breakfast. Although they can only pick one, either biscuit or mcmuffins choosing one will make the customers still willing to buy the breakfast all day since they at least one of them is on the menu. The fact that Mcdonalds finally went through with it has helped them a lot and this will defiantly help them have more business than before.

  3. I would have never guessed that McDonald's would have a decrease in consumption. But now it makes sense as to why they decided to serve all day breakfast. It is also interesting how they only serve either biscuits or muffins, because you would assume that McDonald's could afford both. But I suppose that since they did have a profit decline it is most likely better off that they started this way. But I would also assume that once the breakfast becomes even more popular that every McDonald's would serve both.

  4. I had heard about McDonald’s serving all day breakfast but didn’t know their purpose behind it. Now that I do, it makes sense. If people are wanting all day breakfast, you should give them all day breakfast. The demand for all day breakfast was definitely increasing but McDonald’s was not meeting that demand. Now that they are, it is obvious that it was beneficial because their sales have increased. McDonald’s trade off was definitely not adding all of the breakfast items on the menu.I believe that if they create a wider breakfast menu, they will increase their sales even more. Maybe with a little time this will happen.

  5. I liked your topic because it is something that I can relate to because I like McDonalds breakfast. I agree that the consumers kind of got the short end of the stick because they are only serving a very select number of breakfast items and the way they advertised it, it appeared as though the whole breakfast menu would be available. However you are right that they would have to possibly hire more workers or use more resources to serve the whole breakfast menu so I understand why they don't. I think you did a good job relating this topic to what we have learned in class.

  6. Becca, It's interesting that they had to choose between the biscuits and the muffins. I didn't know that. I also didn't realize that the profit went down 15%. Do you think that it's because of the video Super Size Me? I know that when I watched that video I was so disgusted I never wanted to eat there again. I do, however like their breakfast foods, so I will agree that it’s disappointing that they had to choose just a few items.

  7. Quite a popular and relevant topic to talk about. In recent weeks I've heard this hype all the time. It was shocking to find out that All Day Breakfast was a result of a decrease in demand, but makes sense that this new fad didn't just come up out of nowhere. It was a smart choice to make by the corporation, as it not only increased demand, but also allowed the marginal benefit to outweigh the marginal cost of keeping these Egg McMuffins available all day. Also, a big trade off for All Day Breakfast is that the hashbrowns are not available 24/7 because that fryer is used to make french fries, and without spending excess money on a fryer, they have to make cuts due to the scarcity of the fryers. All around, I think this was a good choice for the company but raises questions about Taco Bell starting breakfast just a little while ago...I wonder if Taco Bell and McDonalds were both going through the same struggles.

  8. I think this an awesome topic to touch on since so many people have been anticipating the release of the all day breakfast. I was a a little disappointed that it wasn't the full menu but I haven't had their normal food since they started the all day breakfast and probably will only have the breakfast from now on.

  9. Personally I was extremely upset, I was hoping they would have McGriddles and McBiscuits on the all-day breakfast menu as well which really disappointed me as those are my favorites. It is easy to see how the business would create only a partial menu throughout the day though considering how many options there are for the breakfast menu, and more options means creating more food, which then results in food being wasted every day as not all of it would be purchased. This would mean money lost to the McDonalds corporation and would most likely hurt their business more than having a limited amount of breakfast food served day-round.

  12. I personally don't like McDonald's except for their breakfast so I like that they now serve it all day! I agree with you that this was the next thing McDonald's would change because of how everyone wanted it. It's amazing how everyone says McDonald's is so unhealthy but yet they eat it and profit is increasing! Overall, I thought you picked an interesting topic that shows how much McDonald's will profit from this change.

  13. I agree that the menu should be limited to only certain items throughout the day. Had they not made trade-offs within the menu, the demand of the workers and resources needed could be overwhelming and potentially increasing the prices of such items. This increase in price could further lower profits made by McDonald's and could make them switch back to a non-all-day breakfast.

    ReplyDelete
  14. I was shocked at the 15% profit decline because McDonalds typically comes to mind when one thinks of major businesses so I would assume it’s always gaining profit. But the more I think about it, the more it makes sense. Like you said, McDonalds is known for extremely unhealthy fast food. Consumers likely decreased in demand for McDonalds food and increased in demand for a substitute good such as Subway. Consumers would then have the tradeoff of more time to purchase their food but the food would be healthier.

  15. I was really happy when McDonald''s made the decision to serve breakfast all day especially because there are times I'm craving breakfast food for dinner or if I'm out late and would much rather have a sausage Mcmuffin over a burger. Even though McDonald's does not have their whole breakfast menu the entire day, it still seems like this change will continue to make them a higher profit due to the fact their has been such a high demand from their consumers for breakfast all day.

  16. I found this topic to be extremely relatable as we are in high school and don't have a lot of money to spend on food, so we settle for places like McDonald's, and eat there often. I think that people were disappointed by the fact that they only put a select few breakfast items on the "All Day Breakfast Menu." Much of the advertising that was shown to us was deceiving as it made us believe the whole menu was going to be available. I don't think this will last long as it will be difficult to keep up with all the demands of breakfast food at night.

    ReplyDelete
  17. I honestly believe this is a great play by McDonald's, because people have demanded for all day breakfast for a long time. Especially with their sales declining this was a very smart play by them. I really think by pulling this move they will be able to regenerate those lost dollars. All I know is since McDonald's came out with all day breakfast I go there more often. They will not regret this choice, and I know that for a fact by looking at the market.

    ReplyDelete
  18. I think this is a great topic to touch base on, especially since it is so relevant to people of our age. I think it is true when you say that the demographic of people that this pertains to is important, because to some this won't matter. I personally think that it is a great business tactic to serve breakfast all day, but the fact that it is only certain items, such as no biscuits as you said, defeats the purpose for some. While this may be increasing sales, I think the excitement will wear off and the increase in profit will die down with time.

    ReplyDelete
  19. I think that this is a good idea for McDonald's because it's a demand that the consumer has and for McDonalds to turn around from their profit dip, they need to be creative and find things that people want and apeal to more people.

    ReplyDelete
  20. I think it was a great idea by McDonald's to serve all day breakfast, it definitely is increasing their sales. Even though there are only select items, I feel like McDonald's will still continue to increase their sale because it's convenient and cheap for those wanting breakfast later in the day.

  21. I like this post being a fan of the all day breakfast. But I think that you are right in saying that McDonald's is a plummeting corporation due to there terrible image. It was a good step for the business to bring in something that was demanded by so many people but I believe like anything it will get old and people will forget about how great it is and McDonald's will go back to being below average.

  23. I did not realize why McDonald's decided to create the all day breakfast menu. It makes sense that they would do it to increase their sales because all anyone has ever talked about was how much they wanted all day breakfast. I also did not know that sales were declining, but this does not suppose me. There are so many more fast food chains now that serve so many different types of food!

    ReplyDelete
  24. It was definitely a smart decision of the McDonald's corporation to start serving breakfast all day in order to increase their profit and bring in more customers. By serving breakfast all day, McDonald's has an advantage over fast food places that serve breakfast only in the morning such as Taco Bell, Panera, etc.Although this is a big topic now, I think this All Day breakfast phenomenon will die down and people won't really care fot it anymore.

    ReplyDelete
  25. All day breakfast at McDonalds is a great idea and I wish they would've done it sooner but I understand why they didn't. Fast and cheap food is extremely convenient for those with busy schedules, like you said. However, all day breakfast is new and long awaited so it will be popular for a while. But given time, I think that people will eventually stop caring as much and begin to see McDonalds as how they saw it before their new update. Companies need to do whatever they can to increase their profits again after a decline, and overall this was a good move for McDonalds even if it doesn't for very long.

  26. Deciding to serve an all-day breakfast was a great call by McDonald’s. They were seeing a profit decline, heard the numerous requests for all-day breakfast on social media online, and gave the people what they want. Consumers who liked some of those other items that are being taken off the menu are on the con side of this decision, but everyone else who asked that McDonald’s serve their breakfast items all day got what they wanted. McDonald’s is a HUGE company that knows who their target audience is and knows exactly how to make a profit and keep that profit going. They made a great choice by introducing breakfast all day, especially because it’s talked about by consumers and is advertised well. This idea is very successful despite the few items taken off the menu to make a trade off.

    ReplyDelete
  27. It is interesting to see how big a role the consumers play even with a corporation as big as mcdonald's. Due to the declining demand for mcdonald's, the cooperation added the bigger menu all do to please consumers in hopes of increasing their revenue. It is also important to note that Mc. donalds would lose money by keeping all the ingredients necessary to serve every item on both menus all day long. So they had to choose what to serve that being their opportunity cost. But at the end of the day the small trade off can save them a lot of money.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I wouldn't say McDonald's let down the consumers by only selling their choice of biscuits or muffins all day, considering those are some of the most popular items on the breakfast menu as it is. It kind of surprises me that their profit was finally declining though; for years since the movie, "Super Size Me", people have been talking so poorly about the food sold their and how much they dislike it, continuing to go to eat there all the time anyways. The implementation of the "all-day breakfast" is a great way to catch consumers' attention and to start increasing their profit again.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I would argue that, even though there is a short term increase in sales, there will be a much bigger decrease in the long run of sales. Altogether, McDonald's has gotten rid of some of their more successful products, such as the McGriddle (a personal favorite) that they simply will never sell again. Because of this, I will never eat mcdonald's breakfast again, and the loss of customers like me, in addition to the loss of excitement over McDonald's breakfast over time will decrease the overall sales and cause the total revenue to plummet once again.

    ReplyDelete
  30. This addition will definitely generate more customers, but McDonald's will have to figure out if this will increase sales in the long run. Possibly they will need to think of new food items or slowly decline sales. This also brings up the topic of all fast food restaurants serving breakfast items all day now. By doing this it could decrease the amount of sales to fast food restaurants that only serve lunch and dinner. I believe that the "All Day Breakfast" will start out very well but eventually slow down and could possibly hurt McDonald's.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Although these breakfast items have increased profit in the short term, I believe that it will not continue because people will get bored of the limited selection of breakfast food. Also, this addition does not change he image of McDonalds; unhealthy food and cheap products. This means that the people that didn't originally buy McDonalds will not start buying just because they expanded the amount of time they serve breakfast. If McDonalds wants to increase their revenue for the long run they should focus on better quality food.

  32. I have always wondered if McDonald's would serve breakfast all day because there are some consumers that wake up late and the breakfast hours are already over. The other day, I was upset when I went to McDonald's and noticed that McGriddles weren't on the menu for all-day breakfast. After reading your article, I now understand why McDonald's wasn't able to offer a McGriddle---since they would lose profit and have to supply more resources. Overall, you had a well done article that showed how the McDonald's demand changed when the all-day breakfast option was introduced.

  33. I feel as though the new all day breakfast menu is just a temporary solution to their much bigger problem. This almost seems like a marketing stunt to try and make their business a little bit better. As you mentioned they are still only selling some of the menu, which definitely not a permanent solution. In addition there are also lots of competitors that are selling equal quality if not better than McDonalds that could also start selling breakfast all day and have better results.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I agree with Sydney, there will eventually be a diminishing marginal utility. For the short run- McDonald's will have success because the idea is new and people always complain about missing the breakfast deadline. On the other hand, the long run- McDonald's sales will start to decrease. Breakfast all day will become less special and less people will buy it.

ou did a great job of choosing a topic that many people such as myself care about or are interested in, and through your writing you did a good job in connecting a wide spread of perspectives. I agree with you partially as they don't offer the Mcgriddle. But as you said, it was still a success for McDonalds so I guess they did alright on this one

  36. As you have stated, many people are not happy with the fact that McDonald's is not serving their full breakfast menu, and I think that people will soon become angry with it. Even though the profit has increased in the past week, I do not believe that it will increase in the long run because of the limited selection of the breakfast menu. Many people were very hyped that McDonald's was going to have breakfast all day, so I feel that the profit increased because so many people were excited about the breakfast menu being all day. Since the hype probably will not continue for that long, the profit will slowly start to decrease again. If McDonald's starts to see the decrease in profit again, maybe they will add the full breakfast menu all day, even though the cost to produce these resources will be high. Over all, McDonald's should add the full breakfast menu to all day to increase profit in the long run, even though it would cost more money to make the products in the short-run.

  37. Mcdonald having breakfast all day really did increase their consumers and profit. However, like you mentioned, many consumers were upset that they would only serve a muffin or biscuit for the breakfast all day. But, many can argue that isn’t a healthy or nutritional breakfast which would drive away that consumer population. Also, since many people have been begging for them to have an all day breakfast, and they only get such limited items, the consumer demand for this will probably decline and only be successful for the short run. In the future, Mcdonald's companies might see that their consumers aren’t as satisfied with the options they are giving their consumers with the breakfast all day, and start to add more breakfast food variety, to increase profit and consumer demand in the long run.

  38. I thought that it was very interesting how McDonald's finally is serving breakfast all day. I believe that at first the marginal utility will be very high but over time it will diminish. Also since they are not serving the entire breakfast menu there could be some customers that will not be able to buy their favorite breakfast item because it is not on the all day menu. However, McDonald's have seen sales shoot up recently because of the new all day breakfast menu; however, this will most likely not be the case for long because the anticipation will settle and people will go back to ordering other foods. Overall I thought that this article was very interesting about the new all day breakfast menu.

  39. This is an interesting topic to talk about considering that our generation is heading into a healthier generation. One thing I wonder is why they wouldn’t focus on healthier products but rather open up the breakfast menu all day. If they allow breakfast to be served all day but it isn't the healthy option consumers are going to realize that what they are eating isn’t the best. Yes this restaurant is a quick and easy restaurant but the problem is they need to follow the consumers wants and where our generation is going towards. They need to make a bigger approach towards healthy food choices and besides the point the buy all of there food in massive bulk which wouldn’t hurt there revenue but would rather increase consumer spending towards the company.

  41. Last week when I was at McDonald’s I noticed that this all day breakfast change had been made and I was excited to get these foods at night too. I have only gotten breakfast from McDonald’s a couple times before since I mostly go at night, so this will make me choose to eat breakfast foods at night now that they are available to consumers. It makes sense why sales at McDonald’s have already gone up 2.5% since they started serving all day breakfasts. Consumers who want breakfast during the day will be drawn to McDonald’s because not many other places offer it all day. To increase their revenue, I wonder if adding new ice cream flavors or items on the dollar menu would help make up for their 2014 loss. Great article!

  42. This topic is a great topic because it is relevant with the launching of the all-day breakfast menu and it is relative to teenagers because we are searching for a quick bite before and after school. The initial launching of this seemed like it would be amazing and everyone would like it, but then people realized there will only be specific products available. This new idea of all-day breakfast was brought into the market because of McDonald's 15% profit decline in 2014. With the launching of all-day breakfast their profits have increased by 2.5% this past week, but I believe it won't increase their profits for the long run. I feel like the new option is only going to be a short-term solution because of the limited items on their all-day menu, and their profits will continue to drop. I believe that their profits initially increased because it was a new idea and people were happy for the change. This success will not continue long-term because of the limited supply of items available on the breakfast menu. I agree with Sydney for the fact that there will be diminishing marginal utility. The short-term results will show greater profits, but not for the long-term because people won't be as excited about all day breakfast and their profits will eventually decrease as they have been in the past.

    ReplyDelete
  43. I am very excited about all day breakfast. I will definitely be a prompt consumer of this opportunity. This leads me to believe that McDonald's decision to provide breakfast all day will in fact increase profits initially. Many people are going to take advantage of getting breakfast at other times of the day. However, it is possible that consumers will eventually not consider all day breakfast to be as satisfying as the first time. Therefore a diminishing marginal utility may cause McDonald's to remove all day breakfast at some point.

    ReplyDelete
  44. McDonald's as a company may have experienced an increase in revenue as a result of adding all day breakfast to their menu as you had mentioned; however, I believe this result will be short lived since the taste of many people in today's society is shifting towards healthier eating and living (making options like Chipotle or Chick-fil-a have larger demands). Sure, there are more transactions at McDonald's when they include a limited all-day breakfast menu, but the majority of actual customers they are pulling in are already loyal to the company and it's food while the new customer base is only growing at a smaller rate in comparison. Eventually, the hype of all-day breakfast will die off as Twitter and other social media sites will begin to promote a new idea and show new trends. This also supports the idea of a short-term increase in revenue despite the benefits of press. In order to increase customer loyalty and total revenue, McDonald's needs to consider it's image in terms of food quality. If they work towards a somewhat healthier menu, all-day breakfast may not even be necessary to increase revenue. However, I do think adding all-day breakfast to the menu was a smart move for the company, especially since its popularity and total revenue were dying.

  45. I was so excited that this was announced. Even though I don't eat there half as much as I used to, this might change my mind. I think that at first the marginal utility will be high but then later it will diminish. McDonald's sales has shot up because of the new all day breakfast menu; however, this will probably not last forever because people's anticipation will fade and it will become a normal occurrence. Good decision by Mcdonalds to do this now, but good luck with coming up with the next big release, not much will beat this. I found this article pretty interesting and a good current event in the global view.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Though it seems that this might not be a great thing for the company. Its very possible that all the difficulties and problems that people have with the new menu will be worked out with time. The company will learn from the complaints since it is only the beginning of this new phase. They could easily make this into something that does great for them with just improvement overtime as they figure out the best combination of item for the all day menu.

  47. I never knew that they where down in sales and that is why they started all day breakfast. Also I did not know until I went to McDonalds at night that they did not have full menu. I think this will increase sales because of all the people that want to get certain breakfast items after breakfast.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Personally, I am very excited about the all day McDonald's breakfast because I love their breakfast food more than their other meals. I would always be wanting to get McDonald's breakfast mid day (after 11:00), but because they used to stop serving it at 11:00, I would usually never make it in time--now, I will never have this issue. This article was definitely very interesting as it can relate to so many individuals because almost everyone eats McDonald's breakfast once in awhile whenever they are on the go. Right now, McDonald's sales have increased significantly because consumers are hyped about this new deal; however, the sales rate will gradually start to level off and become normal because individuals will get used to having McDonald's breakfast whenever they want.

  49. Personally I don't eat McDonald's that much. I'm sure a lot of other people can say the same thing. So I think think the idea of launching an all day breakfast is a terrible idea. Having a select few items from the breakfast menu isn't going to increase sales. It might be cool for the first couple weeks, but like everything else, it's going to get old and no one will care anymore.

  51. I think that McDonalds is still in the testing phase of All Day Breakfast, that's why they are not releasing everything on the breakfast menu immediately because if doesn't go well they could lose a lot of money. I also think that the amount of people buying breakfast outside of the breakfast period might slowly decrease because there are probably more people buying now just because of the hype created from it starting. Though it continues to do well I could see them adding more and more to the all day breakfast menu.

  52. I think that this is the best thing ever because sometimes you want breakfast for dinner that's why Denny's is the place to go but now you have another option which is McDonalds! McDonald's isn't always my first choice all the time but if I can get some pancakes with a side of eggs that's all good for me. I would imagine that the demand increases and profit increases. Just the other day I went to Burger and they ran out of Whopper's because they didn't expect the demand to overall increase with their new black bun theme for Halloween.

I didn't realize that they pick and choose certain things that they put on the menu, which is a big trade off for certain people who enjoy things that aren't on the menu. I also didn't really know why they chose to do breakfast all day, I didn't know that their sales started to plummet and that's why they decided to do the breakfast menu all day. I do think that more people will start to go to just for the breakfast food and I think this will definitely increase the sales at McDonald's.

Just the other day I went to Burger and they ran out of Whopper's because they didn't expect the demand to overall increase with their new black bun theme for Halloween.

  56. I wonder if the other menu foods' profit increased, because more people were coming to eat at McDonalds overall, or decreased because the breakfast items took away consumer interest in dinner or lunch items. Also I wonder if the 2.5% increase in sales will someday surpass the 14% that it decreased in 2014. What an interesting article!

  57. This is a very interesting topic considering that some people want to have breakfast all day and you will make it on time before the deadline time. McDonald's is terrible food, there is a reason why our economy is struggling with obese in America however, if have breakfast it won't be entirely bad. It has shown that the sales have gone up a lot either way it still would have gone up due to the fact than many individuals poor money everyday into the McDonald's franchise. If we keep having McDonald's breakfast everyday people are going to miss having regular McDonald's food and the stock market will go down a lot. I do believe that it is there choice whether or not they go to McDonald's and I think breakfast would be the best way for our SOCIETY!

  58. When I heard McDonald's was going to start serving all day breakfast, I was not surprised. They are always trying to feature or add something new on their menu. Personally, I think they falsely advertised the all day breakfast to this point because I guess I was kind of under the impression they were going to be serving the whole breakfast menu. From an economic standpoint, not serving the whole breakfast menu actually could be a loss. If they were truly looking to boost profits, maybe this should've been something considered.

  59. I thought that your essay was very interesting, and despite a few grammatical mistakes, it was overall well written. The economic terminology is accurately placed and this greatly contributes to your piece. Although you stated how the all day breakfast is beneficial to consumers, it would be interesting to add the opinions of the franchisees. According to Business Insider, the McDonalds franchisees say that the company's all day breakfast is a nightmare, as it slows down service, reduces average ticket costs, and causes chaos in the kitchens. With this opinion on the other end of the spectrum, it is interesting to speculate how long this all day breakfast will really last, or how long the low-priced breakfast will remain at its low price. Overall, your article was well written and interesting!

  60. This was a very interesting topic that I found especially as a consumer of McDonalds breakfast. Your specific vocabulary really helped to enhance your paper it will be really interesting to see if the costs of producing breakfast all day with increase their revenue. I wonder how the forecasting will be for times of the day where breakfast is popular and to see if this will decrease the sales of the other normal day menu items. This article overall was very informative and thought provoking.

  61. Even though some customers were disappointed that the entire breakfast menu is not available, I agree that this was still a success. Every trade off has an opportunity cost, and McDonald's did the right thing by only making some products available all day. Maybe they could switch off what products are available all day? So one month it's the muffins, and another month it's the biscuits. This would please all of the customers, and while the situation is not ideal, it's still better than having no breakfast all day.

  62. McDonald's should add the entire breakfast menu to account for consumer wants and even if they did add the full menu and workers might be bogged down they could always hire more workers since people are always looking for work and if resources did start to run low they could counteract that because if the increase of sales with having the full menu. But lats be honest Taco Bell breakfast is fire and assuming with McDonald's choice of all day breakfast Taco Bell is soon going to follow.

  63. This was a really interesting topic to bring up. I, myself crave the mcdonald's breakfast and love the whole new idea, but I have heard so far that some employees want an increase on their income. I realize that the breakfast is a new thing to the all day menu but I feel like workers can roll with it. It's a few things that are going on all day for the breakfast menu. It really shouldn't be that much harder for them. but that's just what I am saying. I honestly feel like it shouldn't have taken so long to realize if they wanted to make more money why they didn't do this years ago.

  64. Yeah, when I saw that the all day breakfast didn't really include all of the breakfast meals I was kind of disappointed but I also understand, that they started the all day breakfast project because they knew it would make them more money but in order for the to get the best out of it they chose the most sold meals for them to attract more people and they decided not to spend more than needed by not selling the least popular meals this way they only buy the resources needed to make the meals that will leave the most profit instead of others that will not be so demanded, and won't leave as much profit.

  65. The second approach is using automatic order-taker machines. McDonald's is functioning thereon . Two prototype ordering kiosks are already in tests at the company's food-research laboratory in suburban Chicago. And one McDonald's franchisee in Wyoming, Mich., outside Grand Rapids is testing a 3rd . The kiosks do quite economize on live staffers. They also give customers an electronic push to order more. It asks if customers would really like to "Super Size" a meal-that is, buy one with more french-fried potatoes and a much bigger drink. The machine also suggests ordering a dessert.
